At RRPF, we’ve been building relationships based on trust since the late 1980s. The global aviation landscape has changed a lot since then: even though less than 20% of the global population has flown, passenger demand is once again climbing since the COVID pandemic, aircraft orders are increasing and more planes are being built, financed and delivered. More will be needed to meet global demand than at any time in recent memory.
Spare engine value has shifted. Today’s technologies are much more environmentally friendly offering better fuel burn, lower emissions and lower noise pollution. The financing of these acquisitions will play an important role in enabling the industry’s transition.
One thing that has remained the same is the trust our customers put in us to keep their passengers flying. At RRPF, we believe in in the limitless possibilities aviation offers. That’s why – 35 years and more than 100 customers later – we’re still the trusted partner to airlines, OEMS and MROs globally.
Built on partnership
RRPF was born out of a partnership between Rolls-Royce and three banks, to enable smaller airline customers to continue to grow and keep their passengers flying.
Today, we continue to enable airlines from ambitious start-ups to well-known flag carriers. The fleets vary, the cultures vary, but across each relationship is something mutually valuable: trust.
Trust is the real currency
I recently came across the ideas of Rachel Botsman, a leading voice on trust in business, who puts it beautifully: “trust is the currency of interaction”. Without it, even the best equipment and the most attractive lease terms can’t build a partnership.
She breaks trust into four parts: competence, reliability, integrity and empathy. These are traits I see embodied by every person across our teams. Both here in London and our locations across the globe.
Invested in air travel
Each and every person at RRPF has an anecdote – a turning point when their passion for aviation was ignited. Whether we came from an engineering background or get excited by the joy of travel itself, we are each invested in our industry.
Many of us worked for airlines and manufacturers previously. We understand intuitively how they work and what their challenges are. We’ve seen the process from the shop floor to the skies.
But that understanding alone doesn’t cut it.
Our customers don’t always need a one-size-fits-all service. To deliver the right solutions, we draw on years of involvement with our customer’s businesses to find new and creative ways to solve problems, showing up across continents and time zones.
That reliability and competency is what turns our long-standing relationships into partnerships built on trust.
The best partner to help you reach your destination
Today, the challenges on the horizon might look different – whether you’re an airline, an OEM or an MRO – but our shared mission remains the same.
Against the landscape of exiting older technologies and making newer and more efficient technologies available, global supply chain issues and other uncertainties, we are all trying to get somewhere.
We know that by working together, we can go further than ever. We can make our industry safer, more sustainable, more efficient and cost competitive. That’s why we will always work to be the best partner to help you reach your destination.
